Branch Ministries, Knox’s youth program for 7th – 12th grade, is committed to real worship, real discipleship and real community.

In addition to all-church events and mission trips, retreats, and camps, Branch Ministries engages students in worship, discipleship and community through two primary programs: Sunday morning Bible Study and Wednesday night games and small groups.

Sunday School

Students in Branch meet on all Sunday mornings except the first Sunday of the month. On the first Sunday, students will remain with their families in the service to participate in communion. On all other Sundays, students will join their families during the service and after the children’s sermon will be dismissed for a separate Sunday school. Branch meets in the Youth Room on the second floor of the Northside House.

Youth Group (Wednesday Nights)

Branch students meet every Wednesday from 7:00pm – 8:30pm except for the first Wednesday of the month, when Branch students are invited to join the First Wednesday program from 6:00pm – 8:00pm for dinner. Students are then dismissed for regular youth group.

Upcoming Events

Branch Ministries does several annual events throughout the year which include the Winter Retreat, Summer Camp, and Student Sunday. The Winter Retreat and Summer Camp are great opportunities to step into a space to encounter Jesus, develop deeper friendships, and make some memories through fun adventures. For Student Sunday, students lead the service in worshiping God in conjunction with the broader congregation. For more information about Branch events, contact our Director of Youth Ministries, Annelyse Thomas, at youth@knoxpasadena.org.

Volunteers

Like all church ministries, Branch Ministries depends on the gifts, time and energy of volunteers. We are deeply thankful for the parents, young professionals, Knox members, and seminary students who give their time to serve our students. If you are interested in volunteering as a youth leader, Gathering teacher, or special event coordinator, please contact Director of Youth Ministries, Annelyse Thomas, at  youth@knoxpasadena.org.
