Mission
Missions We Support
Knox Presbyterian Church supports a variety of local and global mission efforts with our service, our giving, and our prayers. We are pleased to contribute to Presbytery, Synod, and General Assembly mission efforts. In addition, we support the following:
- Casa de la Esperanza Orphanage in Tijuana Mexico - We will take several trips each year to visit the Orphanage, prepare a meal and program for the children, and do a variety of small support tasks on the property.
- Union Station Homeless Services - On the first Sunday of every other month, we prepare and deliver sack lunches to the clients of this neighborhood ministry.
- Esther Wakeman, missionary at Payap University in Thailand
- Elizabeth House - Supports women who are pregnant and in need of assistance.
- Joy and David Mosgofian Koeker - Joy works with World Relief in Bali, Indonesia teaching English classes to immigrants in a detention center who are fleeing from their homes. David serves as an associate pastor at a church in Bali. David is a former Knox intern.
- Covenant Children's Homes - Covenant Children's Homes is a program of India Christian Ministries, an indigenous organization aimed at bringing the hope of the Gospel to the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The Covenant Children's Homes reaches out to children whose parents have passed away or are unable to care for them. These children are placed into homes of ten or five children under the care of a pastor and his wife.
- Opportunity International - Opportunity International provided micro finance loans, savings, insurance, and training to over four million people working their way out of poverty in the developing world.
