Weddings at Knox

If you are considering having your wedding at Knox Presbyterian Church, first of all, congratulations! We are excited that you are considering Knox to be a part of the joyous celebration of two lives coming together in Christ. Knox Presbyterian Church is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A). We believe that the marriage ceremony is a service of worship before God. Therefore, we ask that couples desiring to use the facilities at Knox plan their wedding service in such as way as to resemble a worship service. We also ask that if a Knox minister is not officiating the wedding that the officiant be an ordained minister.

The Sanctuary

The Sanctuary of Knox Presbyterian Church holds 300 people. Our parking lot can accommodate 66 cars. There is also ample street parking surrounding the campus.

The Wedding Host will help with organizing the ceremony and showing you and your wedding party around the church. The Wedding Host will be present for the rehearsal and on the day of the wedding. Please contact the Knox Office Administrator to schedule the date and time of both your rehearsal and wedding.

Music and Sound

We ask that musical selections be limited to classical and/or sacred music in keeping with the tone of a worship service. Policy stipulates that the church organist or an approved substitute be the only ones to play the organ. You may bring in other musicians as you choose. Our church organist will be happy to help you with selecting music for the service.

The wedding fees include a sound technician who will coordinate the use of the sound equipment on the day of the wedding. This fee also includes the removal and set-up of music equipment for the Sunday worship service.

In order to secure a date for the wedding, please contact Knox’s Office Administrator as soon as possible A deposit of $500 will confirm the date in the church calendar. Only when the deposit is paid will the date be put on the calendar. The deposit should be made out to Knox Presbyterian Church.

The full deposit will be returned a week after the ceremony, if there are no outstanding fees or if there has been no damage to church property.
