Adult Ministries

“Discipleship is about how we live; not just the decisions we make, not just the things we believe, but a state of being.”

-Rowan Williams, Being Disciples

As adults, we are still growing in our faith. Our ministries for adults aim to provide opportunities for encouraging growth by bringing people in similar life stages together and by building bridges so that we can learn from others who are in a different season of life. We have two different kinds of small groups: Connection Groups and Covenant Groups. We also plan classes and retreats for more in-depth reflection on a particular topic. Check out this page for updates about future classes, retreats, and group meetings.

Connection Groups

Our Connection Groups are moving online. We will post gatherings on the events page for the groups.

Covenant Groups

Covenant groups are groups of 8 to 10 adults who meet in each others’ homes or at Knox for fellowship, study, prayer, and service. Covenant groups commit to meeting bi-weekly or monthly for at least nine months. Many of the groups are inter-generational. If you are interested in joining a covenant group contact our pastoral intern Phil King at to find a group.

Quarterly Groups

Liturgy of the Ordinary

Continuing this Sunday, June 7, please join us at 7:00 pm for a group study of Liturgy of the Ordinary by Tish Harrison Warren. In times of quarantine, where the horizons of our lives feel smaller, we hope this book about finding “sacred practices in everyday life” will provide fruitful discussion about seeking God in and making sense of the new normal. If you’re interested, please order the book. Please contact Heidi Klumpe ( if you have any questions. Click here to go to Zoom. Meeting ID: 849 8797 2606, Password: 901684, Dial in: (669) 900-6833.
