Indoor Worship – Welcome Back

Join us for indoor worship starting this Sunday, May 9, at 10:00 am.  To attend our in-person service, please register here.  If you prefer to watch our live stream service, please click here.

Starting Sunday, May 9, Knox will be opening our sanctuary doors for in-person worship.  From this Sunday forward, you may choose to worship inside the Knox sanctuary or continue streaming on your digital device via Facebook.

If you would like to worship in our sanctuary, here are a few things to keep in mind:

Before Sunday

  • As we come back into the sanctuary, the capacity will be set at 100 people. Everyone will need to RSVP by Friday before the Sunday service. This will give our staff sufficient time to prepare the sanctuary for reserved distanced seating.
  • The link to RSVP will remain the same week to week, https://rsvp.church/r/lZoSF9cD. This link is posted on the Knox website and will be sent out in the weekly email.
  • You may register for multiple services at a time. Please cancel if you are unable to attend, so we can reassign your reserved seat.

When You Arrive

  • Everyone will be asked to wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available at the welcome table throughout the service.
  • As you enter the sanctuary, you will check in with a greeter at the welcome tables. They will ask if you have been experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. If you are experiencing symptoms or have been exposed to COVID-19 in the last 10 days, we ask you to join us online instead of entering the sanctuary.
  • Bulletins with the order of service and song lyrics are provided contact-free via QR code at the check-in station, to be scanned and viewed in digital format on your own device.
  • Ushers will take you to your reserved seat.

In the Service

  • During the service, we will not be singing together at this time. We will listen to instrumentalists and pre-recorded songs as we pray and reflect.
  • During the service, children will remain with their families. They will receive a personalized busy bag as they enter, which they will return at the exit. Please return all the supplies to be reused by your family in future weeks.
  • After the service, the ushers will dismiss us row by row to exit through the side doors by the organ.
  • On Communion Sundays, Communion will be served outside as we exit.
  • We invite you to gather on the lawn following the service and ask that you maintain a 6ft distance between households.

Safety Measures

  • The HVAC filters have been changed and we will leave doors open during the service to increase ventilation.
  • The sanctuary has been thoroughly dusted and cleaned following the pew refinishing.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available around the campus.
  • Clorox wipes will be available in the restrooms.
  • The restrooms in the Narthex will be available during the worship service. Please exit your pew down the side aisle to go back to the Narthex. Please line up along the windowed wall using the floor markings to maintain distancing.
