Anyone age five and above can participate, but children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Given the increased wait time at the border, all participants 16 years or older are strongly encouraged to get a US Passport card – which allows us to use the Ready Lanes. To apply for a passport card, click here. To learn more about the Ready Lanes, click here. If you already have a US passport, you can get the Passport card by mail for an application fee of $30 – but we recommend applying for it soon to avoid expedited service costs. Those under 16 do not need a passport card to use the Ready Lanes. The cost for attending the Casa trip is $35 a person or $75 per family, plus money for a dinner stop on the way back. Join other members of the Knox community for a one-day trip to visit the Casa de la Esperanza orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico, on Saturday, June 6th. We meet at the church at 7:00 a.m. and generally arrive back sometime between 9 and 10 p.m. We prepare and serve lunch to the 40-50 children at the Casa, and lead a program of music, crafts, games, and Bible teaching. We also get to hear from the Casa staff about current joys and challenges, and ways Knox can partner in their ministry.
