There’s Valentine’s Day. There’s Galentine’s Day. (Thank you, Parks and Recreation’s Leslie Knope!) And now, here at Knox, there’s Palentine’s Day! We’re leaning into the spirit of Galentine’s Day, which has become a day to celebrate friendships. So, we encourage you to invite your friends and neighbors to join you at our February 13 service. Come in person or watch together online. We’re planning some fun additions to help us all love our neighbors and celebrate our friends. This is one way we can live out the first word in Knox’s mission statement: “Inviting thoughtful seekers to intergenerational community and Christian discipleship in the world.” We need to hear that first word as a verb. We want Knox to be “inviting” like a warm hearth on a chilly day. But more important: we want it to be “inviting” in that people are actively inviting others to join us. So, invite your friends to celebrate with us!
