Pastor’s Welcome to Knox

Our congregation’s mission is “inviting thoughtful seekers to intergenerational community and Christian discipleship in the world.”

Pastor Matthew Colwell

The first thing that often strikes visitors about Knox is our broad span of ages, with roughly a quarter of our congregation made up of children and youth.  Another half are couples and singles between the ages of 25 and 45, making for a vibrant mix of generations in our pews. There are programs and small groups for all ages at Knox to plug into as well as opportunities to act on behalf of the immigrant, the orphan, and the widow (Deuteronomy 10:18). You’ll find more information about our various ministries on this website.

It has been my privilege to serve Knox as its pastor for more than a decade now. One of the best parts of my job is getting to co-teach our youth confirmation class, and join them and other adult mentors from our congregation for a year-end weekend retreat in San Diego.

Knox Presbyterian Church’s vision is to be a diverse, intergenerational community, engaging Pasadena and the world as agents of spiritual and social transformation. We hope you’ll join us for an upcoming worship service, and see what God is up to here on the corner of Hill and Del Mar.

Grace & peace,

Pastor Matthew Colwell
