Youth Ministry at Knox

Youth Ministries

Every student asks three major questions: “Who am I?” “Do I matter?” and “Does anybody care?”

Our youth ministry focuses on helping students answer these three questions by welcoming them into fun, creative environments to deepen their relationship with God and others.

Sunday Mornings

On Sunday mornings (except for the first Sunday of the month), middle school and high school students join in worship with the larger church. After the children’s sermon, they are dismissed to the Northside House for middle school and high school specific small groups. On the first Sunday of the month, middle school and high school students remain in the worship service for the sermon and communion.

Sunday Nights

Branch youth group meets every Sunday night (from August to May) from 6:30 pm to  8:00 pm. Students are invited to come hang out, play games, hear a message and spend time sharing together in small groups. On the first Sunday night of each month from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm, instead of regular Branch program, we have Living RoomLiving Room is a low-key hang out focused on helping the students build deeper relationships with one another across middle school and high school and with their leaders.

Upcoming Events

We are joining up with our friends at Glendale Pres for a Lock-In next Friday, November 8th from 8 pm to 8 am.

What is a Lock-In, you ask? Lock-Ins are age-old youth ministry traditions where middle school and high school students meet up at the church for an all-nighter (or as long as they last) filled with food, games, raffles, scavenger hunts, and more.

Why? There is a particular mystery about Lock-Ins– I don’t know if it’s the games, the sugar, or the late nights, but somehow the students build lasting memories and friendships at these nights.

If your kid/s love the idea of playing games but also really need their sleep, they are more than welcome to just come for part of the night.

This is a great outreach opportunity for our kids so please encourage them to bring their friends. All are welcome! To RSVP txt “YES” and your kid’s name to (626) 415-0311.
